Rising Stars Basketball is an AAU program that prepares players for the Next Level of Basketball. This program will consist of practices, games, and tournaments throughout the year. Our commitment is to develop the right player attitude, basic fundamental skills and team play concepts for them to ultimately play in a high school basketball program. While always remembering, that their basketball experience should be fun as well.
Rising Stars works with talents across the valley to develop team and individual aspects of player’s games. We strive on individual success and player improvement. Rising Stars provides high school coaches working with young adults to become better basketball players, we are confident we can elevate a player’s game. We are planning on taking their games to the next level by setting a vigorous schedule which includes developing players skills through practices and game situations including leagues and tournaments.
Rising Stars will have elementary, middle, and high school levels in order to benefit all players at their maximum level. Tournaments and games will be against players of the same talent to elevate their games. A part of a players improvement is to play against top talent around the nation.

Coach Mike Buller: Founder/Owner of Rising Stars
Michael Buller is a individual basketball trainer and has coached in the San Fernando Valley area for the last 10 years. His individual work is already proven achievements as he has guided and prepared young adults to successfully make their high school basketball teams. Currently, Michael works with some of the top elementary and middle school talents. Coming from a basketball enriched family, Michael instills not only the keys to success on the court, but off the court as well.

Coach Todd Wolfson:
Todd is currently a high school basketball coach. Named 2009 CIF Division IV Coach of the Year and Named 2014 CIF Division III Coach of the Year. Led his High School to a Division III State Championship in 2014. In his first season as a Varsity coach he lead his team to a 20 win season and went to the CIF DIV4A Finals, and the CIF State Championships. He looks forward to working with your son and developing their fundamentals.

Coach Alex Kamberian:
Alex started with Rising Stars when it first began in 2006 as a 13 year old and played with us till he was 18 in 2011. Alex played varsity basketball at El Camino Real High School and was one of the leaders on his team as a senior in 2010-2011. Throughout High School, Alex played Rising Stars to tone his skills.
He then went on to his coaching career at El Camino Real High School after his playing days where he currently coaches the freshman team. In 2014, he was on the varsity coaching staff that led the program to a City Championship against Westchester High School.
Coach Kamberian is a very intelligent coach who knows the game very well. We are very happy to officially have him again in our Rising Stars family!

Coach Jason Weatherall:
Coach Jason Weatherall is a native of Gardena, CA. He graduated from Phineas Banning High School in Wilmington, CA, where he saw numerous successes as student-athlete in basketball, football, and track & field. He went on to have continued success as a track & field athlete at California State University, Los Angeles.
Before graduating college, Coach Weatherall was bitten by the “coaching bug” and began coaching at Maranatha High where he led the Freshmen for 1 season before leading Junior Varsity for the next 4 years. In that span, Coach Weatherall helped prepare players to be part of a program that would win 93 games in 5 years.
Coach Weatherall went on to become the Head Junior Varsity coach at Occidental College for 1 year before the JV program was discontinued. Prior to coming to St. Francis, Coach Weatherall spent 2 seasons as an Assistant at East Los College and was part of a program that won a Conference Championship, the first in 43 years and played for a State Championship for the first time ever.
Possessing a B.A. in Television and Media Studies from Cal State LA and an M.A. in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University, Irvine, Coach Weatherall comes to St. Francis eager to share his talent by helping serve and lead in whatever capacity necessary to help forge young men of strong and admirable character and virtues.
He, currently, resides in Monrovia and works as a Physical Education teacher at Harkham Hillel Hebrew Academy in Beverly Hills. In his spare time, Coach Weatherall likes to spend time with his loved ones or play NBA 2K.
